Horse Hip Release Strategy
In this technique I’m working around the horse’s hip and pelvis area, using gentle pressure and release.
This helps to ease tight muscles that support the hip joint, improving flexibility and comfort through the hind end.
By releasing tension here, it allows the horse to move more freely, track up better, and carry themselves with more balance and power.
Equine Stretch & Release
It’s essential to focus on education!
By initiating from the grassroots level, we can create a better world for both horses and humans.
Teaching this young individual about the importance of stretching a pony’s legs before a ride is crucial.
Not just doing it…..or the how to…..but the why! We stretch, and we help them stretch.
Rider Hip Mobility
This rider has been finding it difficult to open their hips and bring the leg back into position in the saddle. Here I’m assessing hip mobility and pelvic function to identify what’s holding them back.
By working through these restrictions off the horse, we can help create a more open, balanced seat—making cues clearer and movement more comfortable for both horse and rider.
TMJ - Small Joint, Big Attitude
I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful horse who has been carrying some musculoskeletal imbalances. Here, I am releasing and treating the TMJ (temporomandibular joint).
This little joint plays a huge role in overall biomechanics. When it’s restricted, tension can ripple through the poll, neck, shoulders, and even into the hindquarters. By releasing this area, we help restore comfort, balance, and freedom of movement, allowing the horse to feel lighter, softer, and more connected.
